Man wins Rs 10 by taking bath on road, loses Rs 3,500 to cops

ERODE: A 24-year-old man searching for a novel way to garner likes on his Instagram page accepted his friend's challenge to bathe on the busy Panneerselvam Park signal in Erode.
He won the bet of just 10 and posted video of his act on his Instagram page on Sunday. M Farook would have got all he wants if not for the traffic police, who crashed his party by levying a fine of 3,500 and reprimanding him for violating traffic rules.
District superintendent of police G Jawahar said we warned him that he would face arrest if he were to involve in such activities in future. "On Sunday, he poured water over himself at the busy junction. When onlookers asked what he was doing, he replied that he was trying to beat the heat. He recorded the act and posted video on social media."
Earlier, the SP, who came to know about video, directed the traffic police to impose a fine on him. Police carried out his direction on Monday. tnn
