"Succession," the popular HBO series that follows the wealthy Roy family, officially ended Sunday (I am just coming back from vacation and am not caught up yet, so DON'T TELL ME ANY SPOILERS).

While watching the polarizing characters who run Waystar Royco, I have occasionally noticed something interesting: One of the company's newspapers is based in Cincinnati.

This is actually what I have looked like whenever the logo has come up on my television:

Logan Roy's business owns The Cincinnati Standard. According to Fandom, the paper's logo appeared in the very first episode while Greg was watching a training video at one of the Brightstar amusement parks. It popped up in season 2 when Roman was kind-of-sort-of undercover at an amusement park. And in season 3, one of the paper's front pages appeared on screens during Kendall's 40th birthday party. Fandom also states that the paper leans more conservative.

So is The Cincinnati Standard a real newspaper? No. It does not compete with your beloved Enquirer. We are the only daily newspaper left in Cincinnati, but there are other publications still around, like CityBeat and the city’s leading Black publication, The Cincinnati Herald. There have also been dozens of other papers throughout our city's history, including The Cincinnati Post and The Cincinnati Times-Star.

But none of these were The Cincinnati Standard. It's a purely fictional paper distributed by Waystar Royco.

If you haven't watched the "Succession" finale yet, you can stream it on Max. You can also go through some of the past episodes to try to find the fake paper from the Queen City.
