Drains, nullah to be cleaned before monsoon: Mayor

Prayagraj: Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani on Monday said that grievances of citizens of city would be sorted out on priority basis and we would be focusing on cleanliness of the city.
He added all the drains and nullah would be cleaned before the arrival of the monsoon so that city streets doesn’t face water logging problem. Adequate number of sanitary workers will be deployed in each and every ward as per the requirement and a mass level awareness campaign will also be taken out in the same regard, he added.
Mayor also sought active cooperation from the citizens of Sangam City to keep the city clean and green. Mayor also stressed on the need of the waste disposal management and assured residents that issues pertaining to potable water supply and cleanliness would be taken up on prompt basis.
On the complaint of smart city department of nagar nigam taking the already constructed durga park in zone four under its tender, mayor has sought explanation from chief engineer. Meanwhile, leaders of BJP have welcomed decision wherein officials and employees of nagar nigam were asked to reveal their property details with ‘manav sampada portal’ under state government zero tolerance policy against corruption. Following this, mayor has asked all the officials and employees of the nagar nigam to enrol their property details on portal concerned.
