700kg of ganja seized, 4 held

Cuttack: Acting on a tip-off, the commissionerate police on Monday seized more than 700kg of cannabis and arrested four drug peddlers in this connection. An amount of Rs 1 lakh, two cars, four mobile phones, including an Iphone, were seized from their possession.
“A probe is underway to find out if other persons were involved,” Saumendra Priyadarshi, commissioner of police, said. A team from Jagatpur police station intercepted a car near a petrol pump. The team then searched the vehicle and seized the contraband.
