Enzo Biochem says ransomware attack exposed patient info, Social Security numbers

• An April ransomware attack against Enzo Biochem computer systems exposed clinical test information on 2.47M individuals and ~600K Social Security numbers.
• The company is also investigating whether personal information on its own employees has been compromises.
• Enzo (NYSE:ENZ) noted that the company has spent, and may continue to spend, money to address the situation and remediate it.
• The company added that security and privacy incidents may open it up to more regulatory scrutiny.
