Stock market update: Nifty Bank index falls 0.01% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Bank index traded negative around 10:50AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.

IDFCBANK(up 1.71 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 0.67 per cent), Punjab National Bank(up 0.39 per cent), Axis Bank(up 0.05 per cent) and Federal Bank(up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

AU Small Finance Bank(down 1.94 per cent), Bandhan Bank(down 0.4 per cent), HDFC Bank(down 0.21 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.08 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Bank index was down 0.01 per cent at 44307.05 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.2 points at 18613.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 17.15 points at 62863.53.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Reliance Power, YES Bank, Zomato and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Force Motors, Jeena Sikho Lifecare, ISGEC Heavy Eng, Pondy Oxides and Man Industries hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while SITI Networks, Bombay Metrics Suppl, Krishca Strapping So, Shigan Quantum Tech and Silly Monks Entertai hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
