Jammu bus tragedy: Relatives of the family involved in accident narrate ordeal

A family from Punjab’s Amritsar witnessed their celebration turning into a tragedy as the members met with a deadly bus accident in Jammu and Kashmir. A bus carrying 75 members of the said family fell off a bridge in Katra on May 30. The family was on its way to perform the ‘Mundan’ ceremony of a child, for which they were going to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. Narrating their ordeal, the relatives briefed on the situation. “75 members of the family had taken a bus for the ‘Mundan’ ceremony of my aunt-uncle’s granddaughter. They were going to Mata Vaishno Devi in Katra. I came to know of the accident at 6 am. My father has left for the spot,” a relative said. The family is mourning the loss of 10 members so far, meanwhile, the injured have been hospitalised for further treatment.
