Three, including 2 power department officials, arrested for graft in Haryana's Karnal

KARNAL: A team of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested three persons, including two officials of power department (UHBVN), in Karnal district while accepting a bribe of Rs 15,000.
The accused have been identified as Vatan Singh, an SDO, and Ajay Kumar, an LDC. Both were posted at Munak (Karnal) UHBVN office.
The third accused has been identified as Balraj (Middleman) a resident of Dharamgarh in Panipat.
As per the ACB official, the SDO and LDC were taking bribes through middleman Balraj in lieu of passing the Solar Net Metering file of the complainant.
Sachin Kumar, Inspector ACB Karnal unit said that accused Balraj was caught red-handed while taking Rs 15000 bribe on Monday. He has already taken Rs 55000 from the complaint for the officials.
He said that the accused were arrested by a team of Inspector Ranbir Singh, ACB Gurugram unit and now further investigation will be done by Inspector Seema, ACB, Karnal unit.
Sachin said that the accused have been booked under Prevention of Corruption Act at ACB police station Karnal. Further investigation is on.
