AIMA seeks better infrastructure for industries in non-MIDC areas

Nashik, May 29 (KNN) The Ambad Industries & Manufacturers’ Association (AIMA) has urged the state government to upgrade the infrastructure in areas where industries have been set up in non-Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) limits.
AIMA president Nikhil Panchal said, “The condition of roads is not good and there are no street lights on roads in non-MIDC areas. Some street lights which exist are either dysfunctional or are not maintained properly.”
Panchal pointed out that although there are government schemes, under which infrastructure can be developed for industries in areas not falling under the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation MIDC limits, the cost, which is around 25 per cent of the project estimate, which the industries have to bear is very high.
The Industries that have been set up in non-MIDC areas like Gonde, Wadiwarhe, Janori and Dindori have been facing major inconveniences due to poor infrastructure.
