Man files plaint against two for extorting high interest

VADODARA: A building contractor has filed a complaint against two men accusing them of extorting high interest from him for the loan he took from them.
Durga Prasad Yadav told the police that he had borrowed Rs 2.67 crore from the duo for his business at the rate of 3% interest.
Yadav said that he initially borrowed Rs 1 crore from the accused, Kishor Makwana and Bhupendra Shah, and later took more loans for his business. He said that the accused increased the interest rate to 5% later. Yadav said in his complaint that he paid back over Rs 3.83 crore with interest and principal amount but the accused demanded Rs 4.25 crore from him.
Yadav said that the accused took it in writing from him through a lawyer but did not give a copy to him. He then approached the Makarpura police station.
