The Ahmedabad weather forecast for the evening of May 29, the reserve day for the IPL 2023 final between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans, is much more promising than the downpour that the Narendra Modi Stadium witnessed on Sunday, when the wet conditions didn't allow even the toss to happen.
The cut-off time for a full 20-over-a-side game was 9:40 pm, while a curtailed five-overs-a-side game had to start by 12:26 am. According to the rules, if both of the above are not possible, a 'Super Over' starting at the cut-off time of 12:56 am can decide the winner. But none of those playing conditions could be used as the rain played spoilsport.
If it happens the same way on the reserve day, the team that finished on top in the league stage, i.e., defending champions Gujarat Titans, will be declared the winners.

However, according to accuweather.com, the forecast in Ahmedabad for Monday evening is not as threatening as May 28 and the fans could see a full T20 game being played.
