Ruckus at Giridih after man run over by train

Bokaro: Giridih railway station witnessed a ruckus after a person died after being hit by a passenger train at Phuljori in the district on Sunday morning. The incident took place as the train departed from Madhupur towards Giridih.
The deceased has been identified as Ramdev Thakur, a resident of Gathwadih in Bengabad. “The incident caused a disruption in train services, as the authorities were unable to immediately remove the deceased's body from the tracks, leading to suspension of train operations on that route,” said Mithlesh Kumar, station master of Giridih. The cancellation of the train from Giridih to Madhupur sparked outrage among the passengers, who demanded refunds for their tickets. “In the midst of the chaos, a young man vandalised the ticket counter,” said Subhash, a railway employee. tnn
