Future Consumer(down 5.00%), Sheetal Cool Products(down 3.75%), Nakoda Group(down 2.47%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.68%), Patanjali Foods(down 1.36%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.17%), Dangee Dums(down 1.05%), Hatsun Agro Product Ltd(down 0.82%), ADF Foods(down 0.76%) and Emami(down 0.73%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 99.3 points up at 18598.65, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 344.69 points at 62846.38.
Mahindra & Mahindra(up 3.77%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.56%), Tata Steel(up 1.93%), Coal India(up 1.9%), SBI Life(up 1.87%), State Bank of India(up 1.54%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.54%), UltraTech Cement(up 1.54%), HDFC(up 1.51%) and Grasim Industries(up 1.48%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Oil & Natural Gas Corporation(down 2.9%), Power Grid Corporation of India(down 1.18%), HCL Technologies(down 1.14%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.03%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.71%), Maruti Suzuki(down 0.71%), Wipro(down 0.47%), Britannia Industries(down 0.46%), Adani Enterprises(down 0.4%) and ICICI Bank(down 0.27%) closed in the red.
