FIR lodged against Sasaram mayor, 3 others

SASARAM: The incident of locking up of municipal commissioner Yatendra Kumar Pal in his official chamber in Sasaram for almost an hour on Saturday, took a new turn on Sunday when a named FIR against four including mayor Kajal Kumari, her husband and son of two ward councillors was lodged with the Town police station.
The FIR was lodged by a municipal corporation staff Manish Kumar. Meanwhile, a women ward councillor Sunita Singh also filed a complaint with the police against the municipal commissioner alleging that he abused the ward councillors in the board meeting and called them 'anpadh-ganwar'. Sasaram SDPO Santosh Kumar Roy said, "Action will be taken against the accused in this connection after a thorough probe."
In the FIR, Manish has alleged that the accused created hurdle in government work by taking the employees hostage and locking up the office on Saturday.
The ward councillors led by the mayor forced their entry in the chamber of the municipal commissioner and after a verbal dual locked his chamber. The commissioner was rescued when senior officers of civil and police administration broke the door and brought him to the chamber of DM Rohtas from backdoor.
