Jaipur: With assembly elections scheduled later this year, a series of inaugurations by the Congress government is lined up in the Jaipur city in the next two to three months. It includes the lone signal-free traffic, out of the four announced by the government, at the Laxmi Mandir Tiraha on Tonk Road. The second project is Gandhi Darshan Museum at the Central Park.
“Both these projects are expected to be inaugurated in July or early August. In addition, the state government is keen on inaugurate the long-pending Jhotwara Rail Over Bridge project before election. This project is scheduled to get completed by September or mid-October,” said a JDA official.
Apart from the projects of the JDA, the Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has almost completed a few more structures in the city. These projects would also be inaugurated before the assembly election. Housing Commissioner Pawan Arora had stated that the first phase of the upcoming Coaching Hub in Pratap Nagar would be inaugurated in June.
“We have not fixed the exact dates for our two important projects—the Constitutional Club and the MLA Complex. In all probability, we can inaugurate these two projects sometimes in late July or early August,” said Arora.
The Bisalpur II drinking water project is expected to be inaugurated between mid-July to mid- August, PHED officials said.
