NOIDA: Members of the Federation of Noida Residents Welfare Associations (FONRWA) held a meeting with MD PVVNL Chaitra V on Sunday where member RWAs raised issues of increasing outages, dilapidated infrastructure and delay in repair work.
PVVNL MD Chaitra V said that Rs 20 crores have been sanctioned for Noida for strengthening infrastructure works and two transmission stations of 132 KV are being built in Sector 115 and Bhangel. These are said to be ready in around 8 to 12 months and will improve upon the city’s power supply conditions.
The meeting, which was held in Sector 58, was attended by over 30 RWAs and had senior power department officials present. RWAs complained that the condition of power infrastructure like transformers, lines, poles, feeder junctions/panel boxes, meter boxes, etc. is in very bad shape across the city.
FONRWA president Yogendra Sharma, said that overloaded transformers and non-installation of ACB equipment in transformers add to frequent power cuts for entire sectors.
PVVNL MD Chaitra V noted down problem issues. She said, the transmission stations of Sectors 62 and 45 are being upgraded as well.
