Thought-provoking seminars steal the show at Goafest

Day 3 of Goafest began with a seminar presented by Anymind on the ‘Seven Principles For The Future Of Creativity’ conducted by creative chairperson at Accenture Song Nick Law. He shared how these seven principles helped him be where he is now. Law stressed on companies having consistent principles and dynamic practices and that the nature of creativity right now is to collaborate.

Radio City presented ‘Advertising Rocks’, an industry musical contest which was held for the very first time at Goa Fest. The competition was judged by Bollywood playback singer Papon, Indian composer and pianist Merlin D’Souza, founder of Soundsmith-Brandmusiq Rajeev Raja, and Subash Kamath. The contest was divided in three categories. The first place for the solo Indian vocalist category was awarded to Moninder Agrohiya. The first place for western solo vocalist was bagged by Tushar Tharayil. The band Scrapped took home the award for The Battle of Bands.

An insightful session by MTV ‘Understanding Young India’ was conducted by head of marketing YME Viacom 18 Utsav Chaudhari. He said that youth today are no longer content with cultivating hobbies only for personal satisfaction but find ways to generate revenue from it and he aimed to foster a deeper understanding of their hopes, dreams, and beliefs.

News 18 Network presented a knowledge seminar on ‘Breaking the Old Mould’. Moderated by chairman-Madison World Sam Balsara, the panelists included CEO-Lodestar UM Aditi Mishra, CEO-South Asia-Mindshare Amin Lakhani, CEO-Havas Media Group India Mohit Joshi and CEO-South Asia-Essence Mediacom Naveen Khemika. Some of the topics discussed were creating an ideal structure within an agency, finding high quality talent, re-training the young industry and moving up the value chain.

News 18 Network presented a knowledge seminar on ‘Voice of Change on Gender Bias’ moderated by CEO-Cosmos Maya India Pvt Ltd Megha Tata. The panelists were CEO Publicis Groupe Anupriya Acharya, business head at Sri Adhikari Brothers Network Kailashnath Adhikari, executive editor-CNBC TV 18 Lata Venkatesh and founder & CEO of Coto Tarun Katial.

Rajasthan Patrika presented a knowledge seminar on ‘Future of Indian Cinema: ‘Exploring Artistic Freedom and Challenging Conventions’. Rajeev Masand hosted this seminar along with Rana Daggubati and Tabu. Both the actors spoke about how creativity played a major role in the film industry and shared thoughts on the unsurety about the future of Indian cinema. Daggubati gave an insight on how AI could replace actors in the future.
