2 leopards electrocuted in Dholpur district
Jaipur: Two leopards were electrocuted by live wires of electricity poles that had fallen due to rain and thunderstorm in Jaroli forest area of Dholpur district on Sunday. Villagers found the carcasses of the leopards in Jaroli forest and informed forest officials.Forest ranger Amar Lal Meena said the carcasses were buried in the forest after a forensic examination. The leopards were male and female aged three-and-a-half to four years, Meena said. He said that electric wire poles were damaged due to the recent rain and thunderstorm in some parts of the district. Meena said there are 30 to 40 leopards in the district. TNN
