Boy missing for 2 days, parents allege kidnap
Jaipur: A 12-year-old boy, who had gone missing from Ram Niwas Bagh two days ago, remains untraceable despite efforts by the police.
The case is being investigated by the Lal Kothi police, who claim to have found some significant clues but have been unable to locate the boy as of Saturday evening.
Parents of the boy accompanied by a large number of people visited Lal Kothi police station on Saturday and urged the authorities to intensify their efforts to find the boy.
According to the FIR filed by Naved’s family, he had gone to play cricket and failed to return home by evening. The family's attempts to locate him proved futile, prompting them to approach the police on Friday.
The family expressed fear that the boy may have been kidnapped.
Congress MLA Rafiq Khan also arrived at the police station and appealed to police to find the missing boy.
A senior officer said, “We have obtained CCTV footage which shows the boy walking towards his home. We also found footage in which his clothing appears to be changed. It seems he had returned home after playing cricket but went unnoticed. Subsequently, he left home again without informing anyone.”
DCP (East) Gyan Chand Yadav said, “We have gathered some clues and our teams are actively working on them. For now, there is no evidence of his abduction, and no ransom call has been received.”
Teams from Lal Kothi police station visited various areas, including MD Road, Karbala, Chandpole Bazaar, and Ramganj Bazaar, in their search. “Until the boy is located, we cannot provide further details,” Yadav said.
