The Mumbai Fire Brigade received a call around 10.30pm. Two successive cylinder blasts on the 12th floor of the ground-plus-14 storeyed building resulted in the fire, said a statement by the BMC.
MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a high rise on Bhulabhai Desai in Mumbai late on Saturday night.
The fire broke out in two flats on the 12th floor of the ground plus 15 upmarket Breach Candy apartment on Bhulabhai Desai Road, near Breach Candy Hospital.

While two people -one male and one female - had to be rescued from the staircase, no injuries were reported.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade received a call around 10.30pm. Two successive cylinder blasts on the 12th floor of the ground-plus-14 storeyed building resulted in the fire, said a statement by the BMC.
The fire was confined to two flats on the floor. At around 11.45 pm, a fire brigade official said that the fire has been brought under control. It was declared as a level-2 fire.
