Dump yard worker run over by lorry

Coimbatore: A 28-year-old man was run over by a tipper lorry at Vellalore dump yard here on Friday night.
The Podanur police identified the deceased as I Paramanand, a native of Madhya Pradesh. He was residing at Vellalore.
The incident occurred when he was segregating waste along with 21 other workers at the dump yard.
“Paramanand was smoking near a pile of garbage when one of the five tipper lorries, which were moving garbage, ran over him. When alerted, we sent the body to hospital for postmortem. We have registered a case and launched a probe,” a police officer said.
