IGNOU invites applications

Mysuru: Online applications have been invited for admissions to various courses of July cycle of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
According to a press release issued by IGNOU senior regional director S Radha, candidates can apply for various post graduate, graduate, diploma, and certificate courses. “Students belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and physically handicapped categories are eligible for scholarship and fee reimbursement,” Radha said.
SC/ST students can avail fee waiver under Schedule Caste Sub Scheme (SCSP) and Tribal Sub Scheme (TSP) while applying for BCom (general), BA (general) and BSc (general) programmes.
Eligible students can apply for Government of India scholarships and also avail education loan facility through Vidyalakshmi portal.
As per the revised rules of AICTE, IGNOU provides direct admission to MBA without entrance exam. Students can choose their specialisation. “IGNOU has launched programmes in digital media, electronic media, and development journalism which are very useful and needed by the industry,” she informed.
