Man, brother booked for sexual harassment of daughter-in-law in Khanna
LUDHIANA: Payal police has booked a person and his brother for sexual harassment of his daughter-in-law.
As per police, both the accused are elderly and live together in the same house.
The complainant, who is in her thirties and is of Payal area, told cops that on 25 May at 10.30am she went to serve food to her father-in-law and uncle-in-law in their room.
She added that when she went to pick up the used dishes, her father-in-law picked up her two-year-old son.
The complainant said that when she started to hold her back son from her father-in-law, he grabbed her with bad intentions. She added that when she tried to free herself, her uncle-in-law also caught her from behind with bad intentions.
The woman alleged that after grabbing her from behind, the accused hit her face down on the ground due to which her forehead and lips were injured. She added that after that she informed police.
On being informed, cops from Payal police station reached the spot and started probe into the matter.
Police later booked the accused under sections 354 A (sexual harassment), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of IPC.
DSP Payal Harsimrat Singh said that the accused are on the run and raids are being conducted to nab them.
