Stepdaughter accused of torture

Rajkot: A 50-year-old woman has filed a complaint of domestic violence against her husband and stepdaughter, alleging that they were subjecting her to torture over household issues.
The woman Lakhi Shiruka told the police that her second marriage was solemnized with Kana Mangaliya in Jampar village of Devbhumi Dwarka's Kalyanpur taluka 12 years ago.
The man has a daughter named Jayshree from his first marriage.
In the complaint lodged with Dwarka town police station on Thursday night, the woman alleged that Mangaliya used to frequently beat her over petty issues like cooking. Jayshree used to allegedly instigate her father for thrashing her stepmother, police said.
In the past too, Shiruka had returned to her parental home in Varvala village near Dwarka as she got fed up with the torture. She had been staying in Varvala for the last two months.
