RAJKOT: A 22-year-old man, who got bail for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of the minority community, has lodged a complaint alleging that he was getting death threats for his social media ranting.
The man, who lodged a complaint with the Dwarka police station, confessed in the FIR that he had gone live on Instagram on May 22 and spoken about the minority community in a degrading manner on May 22.
He was arrested by the Khambhaliya police after a complaint was lodged against him and was released on bail on May 25.
The man also admitted that on May 20 too he had shared a post on Instagram which showed the community in poor light. He had shared the post when he was standing at Teen Batti Chowk in Dwarka town. The same day he got a call from an unknown number asking him about his whereabouts and threatening to kill him.
He got a similar phone call from a different number on May 21 with the caller asking him to come to Okha and threatening to kill him with his licensed revolver.
