Bantwal cops book man for harassing a woman

Mangaluru: Bantwal town police have booked a man for allegedly outraging the modesty of a woman in a moving bus on Mangaluru-Dharmasthala stretch at Jakribettu in Bantwal taluk on Friday.
Police said the suspect is Hameed from Navoor village of Bantwal. The complainant alleged that Hameed had allegedly touched the hair of a woman, who was sitting in front of him in the bus. Later, he had touched the woman from behind and thereby outraged her modesty. The police have booked a case under Section 354 of the IPC against the accused. tnn
