Nagpur thrash Washim to enter quarters of inter-district football

Nagpur: Abhimanyu Bhojne, Darshil Kapse and Saket Gajbhiye scored a brace apiece as Nagpur blanked Washim by seven goals in the inter-district U-14 football tournament at Shirpur, Dhule, on Friday.
With this 7-0 mauling, Nagpur made it to the quarterfinals of the seven-day tournament organized by the Western India Football Association.
While Abhimanyu drew the first blood for Nagpur in his 5th minute move, Darshil scored twice in 10 minutes to take a handy 3-0 lead at the halftime.
After the lemon break, Saket joined the goal-scoring party while Rushi Kukadkar made it 5-0 in the 35th minute. Five minutes later Saket stretched the lead further as Abhimanyu completed the 7-0 rout in his solo 45th minute effort. In the quarterfinals, Nagpur will face the challenge of Thane. tnn
