Your personal finance questions – Can I take out another mortgage with my daughter in my 50s?

Q I will be mortgage free in the next few months and was wondering if I would be allowed to take out a small mortgage in conjunction with my daughter to help her purchase a property? Is there a joint mortgage available for this, like there is for a husband and wife taking out a mortgage? Or is age a problem? I’m 54 and am not due to retire until 68, working in the HSE. I am full-time and permanent. The mortgage will probably be around €100,000.
