GoaFest kicks off, TOI Group opens account
Panaji: GoaFest 2023 returned to Goa with The Times of India Group picking up a Bronze metal and two merit awards at the glittering event, considered the Oscars of the media and advertising world, here on Thursday night. Co-hosted by the Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and The Advertising Club (TAC), the festival recognises creativity in the advertising, media, and marketing industry.
The Times of India’s Un-Jam Bengaluru campaign, which focused on Bengaluru’s notorious traffic, won a Bronze and a merit award while Maharashtra Times’ Akshar Ganesh Memento also picked up a merit award.
“Creativity is no longer in the hands of a select few; we are seeing the celebration of that sentiment with this edition of GoaFest,” said Partha Sinha, the president of the Times of India Group and president of The Advertising Club. “You will hear a lot about the future of creativity. Since creativity is the reason we are in this business, we are celebrating it with full gusto.”
GoaFest has received over 3,000 entries for the awards or metals, as the Abby awards are known.
Acclaimed speakers and industry stalwarts are speaking at the event.
