Surat tops in Gujarat with pass percentage of 76.45%
Surat: The district of Surat reported the highest pass percentage in the state with 76.45% students passing the the Class 10 exam on Thursday. In 2022, the district had also reported the highest pass percentage at 75.64%.
Further, Surat district has reported the highest number of students with A1 grades in the state. In the district, 1,279 students secured A1 grade while 8,113 got A2 grade. In the state, 6,111 students got A1 grade and 44,480 students got A2 grade.
“For the past three years, Surat has maintained the highest percentage of students clearing the exam. It is a result of joint efforts by students, parents, teachers and schools,” said Dipak Darji, district education officer of Surat.
In Tapi district, 58.09% students cleared the exam with 19 getting A1 grade and 161 getting A2 grade. In Valsad, 64.77% students cleared the exam with 59 students getting A1 grade and 729 getting A2 grade.
In the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, 58.90% students cleared the exam in DNH district with one student getting A1 grade and 104 getting A2 grade. In Daman, 66.72% students cleared the exam with five getting A1 grade and 64 getting A2 grade. In Diu, 58.43% students cleared the exam with one student getting A1 grade and six getting A2 grade.
In Bharuch, 61.07% students cleared the exam with 102 students getting A1 grade and 791 A2 grade. In Dang district, one student secured A1 grade while 80 students got A2 grade and the overall pass percentage in the district was 67%.
In Navsari district, 64.75% students cleared the exam with 162 secured A1 grade and 999 A2 grade.
