Ludhiana: More than four months after a man went missing under mysterious circumstances, Ludhiana police have arrested two business partners for his murder. The arrested accused were identified as
Gurmeet Singh and Gurinder Singh, both of Malerkotla.

Bhupinder Singh of Ludhiana had lodged a complaint with Ludhiana police, alleging that his father Gurcharan Singh had gone missing on January 1. Police had registered a case under Section 346 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC against an unidentified accused and started a probe into the matter.
The top cop said the probe was transferred to the crime investigating agency (CIA) and it came to the fore that Gurcharan was murdered and his body was disposed of in a canal in Kiratpur. He added that the accused had thrown his motorcycle in the canal, and the same has been recovered.
He said the accused was arrested in the case. He said the investigation suggested that the accused and deceased were business partners in joint venture, but had some monetary dispute.
Cops said the accused allegedly hatched conspiracy to kill the deceased. They said apart from the motorcycle, police recovered the Maruti Alto car “used” by the accused in the crime. Police officials said that efforts are being to recover the body of the deceased from the canal. tnn
