Student kills his father for beating wife

Rajkot: Frustrated with his jobless father's daily tantrums over money, a 23-year-old man bludgeoned him to death with a hammer in Fulwadi Park of Mota Mauva on Kalavad Road on Thursday.
Police arrested Dharmesh for killing his 54-year-old father Lakha Parmar.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Parmar's wife Mani was the sole breadwinner of the family and she earned about Rs 3,000-Rs 4,000 a month by working as a peon in a school. To make ends meet, she also did casual labour work.
However, Parmar used to frequently quarrel with her and thrash her when she refused to give him money. Dharmesh was a witness to these daily fights and Parmar's violence against his wife.
On Thursday, the father-son duo had a bitter altercation over the issue and Dharmesh lost his cool. He picked up a hammer and repeatedly smashed it on Parmar's head, leaving him dead on the spot. TNN
