Twenty students of Periyar University bag job offers

Salem: Twenty students of the energy science and technology department of Salem Periyar Varsity have received offer letters from private companies. Vice-chancellor R Jagannathan issued placement orders to students on Thursday.
Addressing reporters, the VC said the students received offers from companies including Face-Prep and Satellite Solar in Coimbatore, Conserve Solution in Trichy, Sky Solar in Erode, and Tech Clustron Energy Private Limited in Tirupur. They are slated to earn 3.6 lakh per annum. Conveying his wishes to students, he expressed confidence that they will move to senior positions. HoD K A Ramesh Kumar, placement cell coordinator D Elangovan, assistant professors P Madeswaran and R Thangappan were present on the occasion.
