Telangana MLA booked in Kota for hate speech
Kota: Telangana MLA T Raja Singh was on Tuesday night booked by Kota city police for an allegedly provocative speech he delivered at an event organized on the birth anniversary of Maharana Pratap here on Monday evening.
The case against Singh, the BJP legislator from Goshamahal, was forwarded to CID-CB for investigation after an FIR was registered at Kunhari police station under Sections 153 (A) and 298 of IPC, said Kota city SP Sharad Choudhary.
Singh had said in his speech that people were being converted through “Love- Jihad” in Rajasthan. “Girls from UP are lured into Rajasthan, where they were thrown into Love Jihad, as they know it is not possible in UP for Baba would run bulldozers over them,” the MLA had said. He also alleged that Islamic outfit PFI thrived in Rajasthan. TNN
