Two people were shot and killed after a domestic and neighborhood dispute unfolded, the Johnston Police Department said

Three people were killed in a shooting in Johnston, located 11 miles west of Providence, Rhode Island, on Wednesday morning.

Two people were shot and killed after a domestic and neighborhood dispute unfolded, the Johnston Police Department said.

The suspect identified as James Harrison of 4 Ligian Court is also dead.

Police said they received two 911 calls reporting gunfire at about 7:30 am.

Harrison fatally killed an adult at his residence and then killed a second adult at 2 Ligian Court, said Police.

A 15-year-old girl at 2 Ligian Court was also injured in the shooting.

The suspect tried to flee from the scene, but was shot and killed by the police after a brief car chase and exchange of gunshots.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.
