Flyer accused of sex abuse by cabin crew member, held

BENGALURU: A 21-year-old cabin crew member of an airliner flying from Kochi to Bengaluru has alleged that a passenger intentionally touched her inappropriately while deboarding at Kempegowda International Airport on Monday.
The aircraft stopped at KIA enroute to Bhopal from Kochi around 6.06am. The passenger identified as Sijin A wanted to fly to Goa. He reportedly asked the crew member if he had to change the flight to go to Goa. She informed him that the flight was going to Bhopal and asked him to disembark to take another flight.
The woman alleged that he touched her inappropriately. The woman alerted the security staff and Sijin was detained and handed over to police.
Police said the accused is a manager with a private firm in Kerala. Sijin has been arrested and further investigation is on.
