Oriental Trimex(down 4.76%), Lexus Granito(down 3.76%), Pokarna(down 1.90%), Madhav Marbles and Granites(down 0.84%), NMDC Ltd(down 0.76%), Coal India(down 0.39%), Aro Granite Industries(down 0.12%) and MOIL(down 0.06%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 35.75 points up at 18321.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 98.84 points at 61872.62.
Bajaj Auto(up 2.8%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.66%), Adani Enterprises(up 2.5%), ITC(up 1.76%), Divis Laboratories(up 1.55%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.19%), Eicher Motors(up 1.12%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.07%), Kotak Mahindra Bank(up 1.03%) and Britannia Industries(up 0.96%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Wipro(down 1.4%), Tata Motors(down 1.03%), UPL Ltd(down 0.95%), HDFC(down 0.91%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.75%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.68%), IndusInd Bank(down 0.66%), Hindalco Industries(down 0.65%), UltraTech Cement(down 0.42%) and Coal India(down 0.39%) closed in the red.
