1 more held in petrol pump murder case

Nagpur: Rural police have arrested yet another person, Irshad Ansari alias Rancho, for his alleged role behind eliminating petrol pump owner Dilip Sontakke at Bhiwapur on May 17. Rancho was arrested on Wednesday.
It’s learnt that Rancho, a tile fitter, was approached by Sontakke’s daughter Priya to bump off her father. Rancho had introduced Priya to the mastermind of the murder Afroz alias Imran.

District and addl session judge DJ Deshmukh on Wednesday sentenced 40-year-old Murlidhar Dhomne to life imprisonment and a fine of ₹5,000 holding him guilty for murdering his neighbour Digambar Ghule in 2020 at Revral in Mouda taluka.
Dhomne had bludgeoned Ghule to death with a stick over a dispute over land as each one of them alleged the other for encroaching space.
Cops recover valuables worth ₹30L from burglar
City police crime branch nabbed 24-year-old Aniket Wadive on Tuesday for his alleged role behind committing burglary at the residence of one Hemant Pandey at KT Nagar on May 19. Police have recovered valuables worth more than ₹30 lakhs from him. TNN
