Stock market update: Nifty Realty index advances 0.4% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Realty index traded positive around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in a weak market.

Indiabulls Real Estate(up 1.59 per cent), DLF(up 1.18 per cent), Godrej Properties(up 1.02 per cent), Oberoi Realty(up 0.41 per cent) and Macrotech Developers(up 0.31 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Brigade Enterprises(down 1.03 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects(down 0.9 per cent), SOBHA(down 0.76 per cent), Phoenix Mills(down 0.43 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers(down 0.37 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Realty index was up 0.4 per cent at 463.4 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 22.9 points at 18262.5, while the BSE Sensex was down 63.95 points at 61709.83.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 16 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of Suzlon Energy, Zomato, YES Bank, Piramal Pharma and FSN E-Comm(Nykaa)were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of Revathi Equip, Onward Tech, Mohini Health & Hygi, Andhra Cements and Aptech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Sahyadri Ind, Power & Instrument, SEL Manufact, Sanginita Chemicals and Embassy Office hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
