20 Periyar University students get placements

SALEM: As many as 20 students from the energy science and technology department in Periyar University, Salem, got placements in various private companies. Vice-chancellor R Jagannathan issued placement orders to the students on Thursday.
The VC told reporters that the students had placements in private companies like Face-Prep - Coimbatore, Conserve Solution - Trichy, Satellite Solar - Coimbatore, Sky Solar - Erode, and Tech Clustron Energy Private Ltd.
"The students would get a salary of Rs 3.6 lakh per annum," he said.
Head of the department K A Ramesh Kumar, placement cell coordinator D Elangovan and assistant professors P Madeswaran and R Thangappan were present when the VC handed over the placement orders to the students.
