Next Tottenham manager odds: Ange Postecoglou emerges as favourite ahead of Julian Nagelsmann

Ange Postecoglou has emerged as the favourite to take over as the new Tottenham manager this summer after a tumultuous season.

Tottenham had a promising start to the season after a successful summer transfer window under Antonio Conte, and kept toe to toe with Arsenal and Manchester City as the Premier League front runners in mid October.

Spurs quickly lost touch with the top two sides and then slumped down the table to eighth place.

Conte left the club by mutual consent in March after disappointing early exits in both the Champions League and FA Cup and several uninspiring performances on the pitch.

The Italian's assistant, Cristian Stellini, was brought in as an interim but only last four matches before his sacking, and Ryan Mason was appointed to take charge of the final six matches of the season.

Arne Slot was the favourite to take over the team in the summer, which could be the club's first season without European football in 14 years, but has since pledged his allegiance to the Dutch side Feyenoord.

The Dutchman has been managing Feyenoord for the last two seasons, and lead them to the final of the Europa Conference League in first season and was recently crowned Dutch champions for just the second time this century.

He's not completely out of the running though and is out to 10/1 alongside some other outside chances.

Former Liverpool and Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers is second on the odds list of potential managers at 5/1.

The Northern Irishman won lots of plaudits while in charge of Celtic, winning every domestic competition available, and in his first two full seasons at the King Power where he lead the team to consecutive fifth place finishes.

The 50-year-old lost his job as manager of Leicester with the club in the midst of a relegation battle.

Former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter is also on the shortlist to be appointed the new manager at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Englishman has been out of a job since he was sacked as manager of Chelsea at the start of April after less than seven months in charge, and has been given odds of 10/1 to take the reins at Tottenham.
