Prime Minister Modi’s decision to inaugurate the new Parliament building by himself, completely sidelining President Murmu, is not only a grave insult but a direct assault on our democracy which demands a commensurate response, opposition parties said in a joint statement

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has scheduled the date to inaugurate the new Parliament Building on May 28, 2023. All current members of both houses of Parliament, as well as ministers, secretaries, chief ministers, and administrators of Union territories, have been invited by the Centre.
