31 kilogrammes of Alprazolam were found in a makeshift laboratory in the NagarKurnool area that was producing the drug, which is classified as a psychoactive narcotic under the NDPS Act. In the course of the operation, 31.42 kg of completed alprazolam—whose estimated street value is Rs. 3.14 crores—as well as raw materials, machinery, and other manufacturing-related equipment were seized. Further investigation is being conducted after the arrest of the person involved in the production of alprazolam.

Earlier, According to authorities, five construction workers were discovered dead at a site for the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme in kollapur Mandal of Telangana's nagarkurnool district. Inspector venkat Reddy of the kollapur Police reported that the incident took place late on thursday night. The victims were discovered injured and resting in the ventilation shaft, which is 100 metres below the surface. They were sent right away to the Osmania Hospital, where they were pronounced dead. reddy said that the workmen were constructing the shaft's inner wall. He stated that a probe was being conducted to determine the reason of their demise.
