Trainer molests 28-year-old at gym in Chandkheda

AHMEDABAD: A 28-year-old woman from the Chandkheda area of the city on Wednesday filed a complaint with the police alleging that her trainer molested her inside the lift at the gym where she does regular workouts.
The woman, who runs a business of automobiles, stated that she started going to the gym around 10 days ago and the accused Nilesh Chauhan was her personal trainer.
On May 21, she reached the gym premises at around 4pm and when she entered the elevator to go to the fifth floor, Chauhan followed her in and allegedly began molesting her. When she resisted and told him that she would inform her husband about the behaviour, Chauhan allegedly threatened to kill her. Scared, she did not inform her husband, the complaint states.
On May 23, when she was at the gym, Chauhan allegedly asked for her recent photograph, saying she could compare it with her picture that will be taken six months later to check the progress of her fitness regimen.
The complaint alleges that Chauhan asked for a picture of hers in which she was unclothed. She refused to give him any photograph and went to the aerobics class.
He then called out her name and when she was leaving the aerobics class, he told her that he wanted to meet her downstairs. As she entered the lift, he too followed her in and began pressing the lift buttons. The complaint alleges that he did not allow her to exit the elevator and molested her again. She somehow managed to flee and called her husband. The woman later called up the police control room and filed a complaint of stalking, molestation and criminal intimidation against Chauhan.
