BHOPAL: In a major decision less than six months before assembly elections, the MP government on Tuesday announced to regularise all unauthorised colonies built till December 31, 2022.
Making the announcement, CM
Shivraj Singh Chouhansaid necessary funds would be made available for development of these colonies. No development fee would be charged from residents.
Chouhan also gave away 500 building permission certificates to residents of a few colonies as a token.
He, however, warned officials that they would be held accountable if new illegal colonies came up in the state.
Once the illegal colonies are regularised, residents would be able to get bank loans and avail other facilities, the CM added.
