Fuel stn staffer takes back oil as man gave him ₹2K note
Kanpur: Despite the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India, people have to struggle hard to spend Rs 2000 currency notes as even the shopkeepers are shying away from taking them.
A fuel station employee meanwhile has crossed all limits in Jalaun by taking back all the oil from the tank of a man, who had given him a Rs 2000 note and asked him to fill the tank of his bike with petrol worth Rs 200. A video of the incident is also going viral on social media. TOI however does not confirm the veracity of the viral video.
A two-wheeler rider arrived at the fuel station located near Ambedkar intersection of Kotwali police area on Monday to buy petrol. After getting petrol, he gave a Rs 2000 note to the fuel station employee, but he refused to accept it saying that this note is no longer in circulation. He then brought a can and got the oil out of the tank of the bike.
The man thereafter shot a video and made it viral on social media. On the other hand, the manager of the petrol pump said that his employee did it out of compulsion because he was running short of change.
