The deceased has been identified as Shadab Khan, a site engineer by profession and a resident of Pataudi.
Shadab’s cousin Iqbal Ahmed told police that Shadab had returned home around 11am as he had to take his wife for a check-up at a nearby hospital. After the check-up, he dropped his wife home and returned to the construction site in Chhawan village on his bike.
“Eyewitnesses told the family members and police that Shadab was mowed down by a reversing dumper truck at the construction site around 12.30pm. He received serious injuries to his head and stomach. Police said that they got information about the accident around 10.30pm and an FIR was registered at Pataudi police station around 11pm. Cops later informed Khan’s family members, who live in Noida’s Sherkot, about the accident.
Iqbal was asked to reach the Civil Hospital in Gurgaon’s Sector 10 to identify the body. After confirmation, a post-mortem examination was carried out and the body was later handed over to the family, police said. “We got information from the police station that they took the body to Gurgaon Civil Hospital.
