Thiruvananthapuram: Balaramapuram native Arya VM who secured 36th rank in her second attempt in the civil services exam said it was her childhood dream to crack the UPSC exams. “Though it was a dream I had since my childhood I started pursuing it seriously from 2020 when I almost achieved financial stability. After my post-graduation in English Literature, I was working as a guest lecturer. The one year of employment gave me financial stability and I dusted up my civil service dreams again. In the first attempt in 2021, I could not pass the prelim exams, but I was not ready to give up,” said Arya VM. Arya said knowing her strengths and weaknesses helped her. I was weak in Science and Literature but good in English and History. Confidence and willpower, backed up by relentless efforts, helped me succeed, she said. tnn
