2 held with 450kg ration rice

Coimbatore:Two men were arrested at Walayar check post while smuggling 450kg of ration rice from Tamil Nadu to Kerala. The Civil Supplies CID identified the arrested people as Sigabh, 35, of Kerala, and his accomplice Baskar, 25, of K G Chavadi in Coimbatore. According to a police officer, the duo bought the ration rice from Podanur region at a low price. They were planning to sell it at a higher price in Kerala. tnn
