US: Worst typhoon in decades lashes Guam

Typhoon Mawar is battering the tiny U.S. territory of Guam with devastating winds and torrential rains.The typhoon was forecast to arrive as a Category 4 storm with winds of at least 140 mph. Guam’s authorities ordered people living in coastal, low-lying and flood-prone areas to evacuate to higher elevations.(AP)
